Responsibilities of the Insurance Verification Specialist


- Ensure patient information is correct in EMR system
- Contact insurance companies by phone and on internet
- Obtain benefit and eligibility information
- Verify and review documents for insurance verifications
- Communicate with clinic operations regarding benefits and coordination of benefits




Required Qualifications of the Insurance Verification Specialist


- 2+ years of recent high volume insurance verification or authorizations experience required
- Knowledge of billing procedures and insurance reimbursement preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen


Compensation for the Insurance Verification Specialist


Insurance Verification Specialist - Direct Hire, $33K - $37K per year, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm.
